A word from the CEO
Small businesses are the heroes that make our society work. Moreover, small businesses create the majority of new jobs and account for a very large share of all taxes. Despite the fact that most businesses are small, many find it difficult to get help from big banks. In fact, only around 1% of total bank lending goes to small businesses. That's why we started Qred in 2015. In 2023, we received a banking license and became Qred Bank.
All businesses need extra help from time to time. It could be a loan for expansion, purchases or hiring new staff, or a credit card to manage your day-to-day expenses. We want it to be easy, fast and secure to access the right type of business finance. With Qred, small businesses have the same access to finance as larger companies.
Four years in a row (2020 - 2023) we have been named by the Financial Times as one of Europe's fastest growing companies and winner of the Nordic Scaleup Award 2024. To date, we have provided more than SEK 10 billion in loans to the smallest companies. It's money that's coming in handy - many of our customers are often left without traditional bank financing, even though they're run by hard-working and talented entrepreneurs.
Qred offers business loans and business cards to small businesses in the Nordic countries, the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Our business loans are aimed at the smallest businesses where the funds are most needed and the amounts are relatively small (up to SEK 5 million), and the loans are normally repaid within 12-36 months. By limiting the loan amounts and the credit period, we keep the risk down, while helping even more small businesses.
Qred VISA, our own credit card for businesses, is the first of its kind as it is designed specifically for small businesses. The business card is free of charge and the credit limit is set specifically for each applicant company.
Thanks to our access to data combined with our unique scoring model, we are well placed to understand and manage credit risks in the business. Our large and diversified customer base reduces the risk of large fluctuations in the business. Our fully digital systems are built to efficiently handle many customers, bringing great economies of scale. All this has led to very strong growth combined with good profitability. We look forward with confidence to helping even more small business owners both in Sweden and abroad for many years to come.
Welcome to Qred!
